Exploring the Sea Cliffs of Vestmanna, The Faroe Islands

The steep west coasts of Streymoy, in the Faroes, protect the island from the predominantly western winds and teem with breeding seabirds. Our boat rounds a bend and the tiny village of Vestmanna disappears from sight. The hills on either side rise up above us and tiny houses dot the landscape, providing a magnificent perspective of the sheer size of the mountains on either side.
