Sea Turtle Nesting Season in Florida

Nearly 90% of sea turtle nesting in the United States occurs in Florida. During the nesting season adult females will return to the their home beaches to deposit approximately 100 golf ball sized eggs, which they will gently cover with sand before spreading sand over a wider area to obscure the exact location of the chamber.
